| On 27th April 1962 HMS londonderry returned Portsmouth from the West Indies, completing a most successful first commission. On 27th April 2012 fifty years to the day Derry's returned to Portsmouth to celebrate the anniversary and renew their friendships. Since 1999 reunions have taken place at Liverpool, Coventry, Chatham and Portsmouth with shipmates attending from Australia, Finland, France, New Zealand, Uganda the U.S.A. and all parts of the United Kingdom. |
